Getting ready to do my first loop, how fast should I enter into the loop, I can master on the sim, but when I tried today I bailed out because it seems I didn't have enough forward speed.

speed
It all depends oh how big of a loop you are going to do, the main thing you need to be concerned with is how high you are. As you start up the loop keep the nose up like you are climbing, you should be about vertical at the 9 o'clock position.

Do you have a symmetrical pitch curve?

And do you use idle up?

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter

I guess my main problem is being able to fully commit, when I get to the top I seem to bail out for fear of not having enough speed, I'm running 80% flat across the board.

You don't need a whole lot of speed. Just a good average pace, reasonable height, and don't try any fancy negative pitch stuff at first. Just back the pitch off a little as you pull it into the loop, and for the first few just keep the loops tight.
Doesn't need to look pretty, just pull it around and remember to fly it all the way around and out the other side.

Just remember, a loop without speed is called a back flip.. They are cool too
