any opinions on cleaning a fuel tank? Mineral spirits? Kerosene? If I can avoid buying a new one for now, I would like too.

91% isopropyl or denatured alcohol will do a reasonable job. Don't dare use a petroleum distillate or mineral spirits.

Isopropyl could get interesting, don't do that one in side and definitely don't sniff the bottle if you have a weak heart!

Mineral Spirits are pretty harsh, I'd stick to something alcohol based.

used rubbing alcohol, then soaked in Dawn. The chrome plating all deteriorated off the clunk (hirobo Freya) anyone got a spare? also need a new hopper tank. I have a Quick UK and cant get the cap off. ugggghhhh
