Hello all... I am new to the forum and FAIRLY new to this hobby... although I have been flying minis for about a year now.
A bit of history... I wanted to "step up" to the larger helis, but did not have alot to invest, so I purchased a Co-Axial Double Horse off ebay. I broke the ball connector on the main rotor plate in five minutes. I thought to myself, "Hmmm... I don't think the quality of this item can be that good..." So, I purchased what I THOUGHT to be a better quality bird, the Volitation. It was the same quality... it imploded ( the same problem as the Double Horse ) about 50 feet in the air, plummeting to the ground.
THUS... I purchased a Walkera UFLY fp, with the shaft driven tail. I have had it for all of this week, and it has spent 5 minutes in the air. DON'T GET ME WRONG... I love the machine. HOWEVER, the front cone gear stripped the first day. I replaced it, took it out to fly today, and it did the same thing today, with the exception that now the Shaft itself is stripped and needs replacement.
I do not know how to do this.
Can anyone help with instructions on how to do that...? I sure would appreciate it. Also, should I be working with any specifications in mind? I think part of my problem was that I pushed the boom with the shaft assembly and front cone gear to far forward against the main gear, thereby creating to much pressure against the workings...
Any help is much appreciated... I'm sure y'all have much better things to do, like flying your OWN heli's, rather than helping out a noob! Thanks! Take care.
