Can this brushless servo be run on 6.6v straight Life battery voltage? Specs say 4-6 volts.

Better now then never... Fly Skids Up!!

I won't speak for MKS but in a recent email from them regarding this same subject, they said NO. 6V max OK.... not 6.6V!

They also said some people were using their non HV servos on 6.6V extensively with no problems but that they would not warranty them if there were problems.

On another note, SAVOX says no problems with any of their servos on 6.6V

they will probably not warranty it on 6.6v, but I ran my BL980 and BL990 at 2s LiFe voltages w/out any issue. Servo didn't even get warm at all or break a sweat. If you're worried about it, put a step down in between servo and gyro/FBL and that should cut it down under or near the 6V warranty rating.

if you can swing it though get the high voltage tail servo. It runs fine/great on 6.6v as well, and performs a bit better, and leaves u the option of going HV later on

Randy!!! I am the liquor
