The Protos 700 is in its 3rd and final prototype according to Corrado. So no major changes from here on out. Some have speculated (myself included) that MSH will show and fly the pre-production model at IRCHA and compete at 3D masters. The heli might be available by end of year or Jan/Feb of next year.

You also probably won't see any more photos and videos until the pre-production model is ready. May/June maybe?

Sad to hear/read it´s to long wait and as many people say´s it´s a hard market for 700 size helis. If it takes one more year to hit the market for the protos 700 i think they should rebuild it to an 800 class heli right away.So they can fighting in that class. So many brands righty now and many waiting for Goblin 700/770 and alees Rush 750 so many people will forget the protos i think just my thoughts.

Daniel.

Glad it's your thoughts and not Corrado's then. They can keep the the 800 class is my thoughts.

Everybody has different opinions and likes. Everybody said the same thing when MSH was working on the Mini Protos. The market is saturated with 450's. But MSH seems to have the best 450 in the market now.
When the 700 comes out, it will be the lightest 700 for sure.

The grips will be some form of plastic carbon composite.
The frame's top half which holds the drive train, servos, etc will be carbon fiber. The bottom half which holds the lipos will be plastic carbon composite.

Corrado did mention a ballpark price but it's still to early to finalize and he didn't state whether or not it included ESC, blades, and motor. I'm assuming he will offer bare kit and kit with ESC, blades, and motor.

I hope they change the grips to metal. Don't trust composite grips at 2200RPM.

I doubt you would need to run a Protos 700 at 2200 rpm or any 700E for that matter!

No need to... but people do !

Many videos showing 700 size blades 2200 Rpm to over 2500 rpm head speeds.
If msh dont make metal grips, they will loose sales. Some will only fly full metal heads!

Lots of after market sales were made because a lack of cnc from the 500.

I hope they at least offer it as a upgrade.

Just make room for my Xera 4530LE is all I ask. A torque tube would be nice but I'll leave that decision to the engineers. Just let me fit a BIG motor in this thing so need at least 58mm opening or no frame in the way at all is even better.

There's no way you will see a torque tube on the Protos 700. It's a single belt design just like the younger siblings. It's going to be light, so it won't need a huge motor. And the Protos 500 never needed full CNC head.

I totally agree Alex! If the Mini Protos can handle 4000 rpm and the 500 can handle 3200 rpm im sure the 700 will handle 2200 rpm.

Just because there are many videos of 700e's at 2200-2500 doesn't mean that is what is needed! Most of those are videos showing off a new heli anyway so obviously they are going to crank the headspeed up. If the tail holds like a vice at 2000 rpm there is no need to go beyond that. Maybe it will have a slow tail so you may need to run higher headspeeds, who knows.

Oh and I forgot to mention.

They need to make a NITRO HELI!

In fact I am 100% sure if this heli came out as a nitro heli first and then the electric or something that can be both it would sell like crazy.

Nitro, yeah. Didn't people used to use those back in the day. That was a nice blast of old history. Anyway, when's that lipo Protos enter field trials?
