Saw some pics of it on another thread here on RR. Looks like they're getting away from the klunky looking DX6i transmitter style.

Same thread had some other interesting stuff...FBL Blade 500, and a picture showing an Align 2.4 GHz heli radio....

I'm sure some people can and will use all 18 but I can't remember what all my switches do in my 11x. Looks like a nice radio though.

Scale guys, turbine folks...

Is also Spek's answer to Futaba 18Ch radio, as to say we have one too.
Not to say the two compare.
But then, not everyone is out to spend the $$$ for the Futaba 18, so it does attemp fill a gap or need for Spek users.

You have to give Spek team kudos for trying.

I think it is ironic that with my Vbarred helicopters, I might as well be flying a Futaba Conquest 4-channel radio since all of the mixing is done inside the Vbar itself:

I would like to see the new class of radios have really nice cases to them which are really super ergonomic. While a lot of these new radios have nice cases for thumb flyers, those of us who use the "pinch" grips are kind of left out in cold unless you want to go to a "tray" style radio.

I sort of wrap my ring and pinky finger around the back of the TX and lay the outer palm of my hand on the top of the gymbal ring. Therefore I find both the "thumb" style and the flat tray style transmitter a little bit uncomfortable.

I don't imagine I have hands which are too oddly sized.

It's funny how the video game people have been modifying their controller shapes for years to reflect the latest trend in gaming, but even the newest style transmitters are essentially the same square boxes we had 30 years ago.

They can do better.

It has more switches and controls than a real helicopter, well not really.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?
