Can anyone tell me if Vario multi blade sets can be shortened
I want to drop them from 808mm to about 765mm is there any thing in the ends to stop that.

Tony

I asked Vario this question when I was deciding on what size rotor to use on my AW139 project. They said yes you can but they would prefer you to buy a set from them that had been shortened by their supplier.

Hope this helps?

Cheers

Craig

I would definately go that route as opposed to cutting a set down.

Some of the blades have a retaining "wire" that runs thru the tip and curls around in case of a ground strike they won't throw pieces. I personally would sell those blades and buy a factory finished piece, for safeties sake.
