The might be slightly different but I'd think they should at least be compatible. I don't know what's available in Great Britain, but here in the States in there is one vendor who's assembled an excellent kit for building servo connectors. Pins, housings & the whole works. I have one and I must say, it is worth every penny

What could he have done to them?

All servo connectors are compatable with the exception of shaving the index tabs off the Futaba's.

Unless they are really mangled somehow.

They do have different length pins and connectors. The problem is the raised portion that keeps the pins from sliding out.

The brand of the servo has nothing to do with the connector you install on the end of the wires. I would match the connector to the receiver (or flybarless unit) that the servos plug into.

its just a pain in the butt when you only want o change the black plug and not the metal pins.

i emailed align and the u.k wholesaler, about as much help as a chocolate fire guard

looks like i'll have to change the pins

Mr Amgoo,

try Steve Webb Models (Servo Shop), they should have them available off the shelf - or as you are in Edinburgh, Marionville Models if it is still there.

As others have mentioned, the Hansen crimper does a great job and does not cost an arm and a leg. I don't know if you would have a problem ordering it from the States. The crimper works works so good and the parts so cheap that I typically resize all the servo leads, to keep the wiring neat.

I could have hand delivered one this past Summer, but I didn't know you needed it then.
