Oh we are again looking forward to the nightfly this year. For all you guys that have to go home late Saturday afternoon and miss staying for the Saturday night activities, you are really going to miss out. We want to have as much fun in the Day as we have at night. JC Zankl will be with us and he is going to do some traditional night flying as well as fly under the lights. Jamie Robertson and Ben Storick will also be here.

He put on a great nightfly at Ircha and looking forward to seeing it as well as others doing traditional night flying Saturday night, have some other interesting ideas for Saturday as well.

We will have our cookout that evening as well as our guitar contest and then later that night it is flying under the lights, so if you are only going to stay one night then consider staying Saturday night although Friday night is great too, just stay both nights and catch all the fun that weekend

Try loading up all the videos at one time and watching them with the horns and yelling, it's really cool

I frankly found the horns annoying, but to each his own.

It makes it a little more exciting. It pushes the pilot to try things he normally wouldn't and sometimes it produces a spectacular crash!

It also affects people flying at other stations because the horns are just so blasted loud and abrupt. It's like your next door neighbor blaring his stereo when you're trying to watch TV. If it's being done when there's no other flight line activity, it's a different story. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I am sure we will all be considerate of each other. However the're is usually only one person flying at night because their is not enough light for extra flight stations. And during the day they are usually only blown during the demos when there are no other people flying close by.

Would like to know who is interested in entering the non sponsored demo contest. Plan to have nice beautiful awards for winner and runnerups. And the winner will get a nice gift certificate and remember the contest is for non sponsored guys. Also if you please, bring music or pick out some early when you get here. If u already have music you can be practicing your routine with it. Each routine should be about 4 minutes.

I'm not saying that air horns shouldn't be allowed. I am suggesting that people show a little courtesy and refrain from blowing them when others are flying. During the noontime demos, blast away. Sadly, common courtesy is far from common these days.

That's all I have to say on the subject. Sorry to be a stick in the mud. Now, get off my lawn!! (Yes, Terry, I am getting old and opinionated.)

What other "stations" are at night other than front and center? They only blow the airhorns at night? If loud music bothers too you it might be time to buy some earplugs.. Cause we are having a guitar championship too, so if an "airhorn" ain't your bag you might wanna go grab a knitting needle and some warm milk at the hotel!

People also did "real" night flying off to the side last year, out of the illumination of the light towers.

You mean across the road close to the highway? I saw one guy out there.. But that was a little far to be tripped out by an airhorn.. And I assume by "real" night flying you mean night ropes and night blades and such.. Well that was done front and center too.. Kinda of becoming obsolete with having to strap all that crap on, but I hear yeah.. So everybody agree no airhorns next to the highway.. I bet that won't be an issue

That was me on Friday night. On Saturday night, I flew off the east end of the lighted area and I saw others flying off the west end.
