If you don't fly when the wind is blowing, you miss out on a lot of nice days. I fly in about anything.

As someone stated. Autos are the funnest in the wind. I good breeze will generate lift on the blades and kind of make the autos seem like slow motion. I wouldn't do them with less than a 500 sized heli. I've done them on my 450 with not so good results. 600 floats like a dream...

High Voltage just works better

i fly a close to 20lb gasser and i use an anemometer and flying in steady 15mph wind, with gusts to 18mph WAS ABSOLUTELY NO FUN!!! The wind was blowing the heli side to side and up and down depending on what i was doing. I would see 2-3 foot drops in altitude at times, again depending on heli orientation and what I was doing at the time

I could not even imagine flying in 30+mph wind

You would have problems standing up in 30-40 mph winds.
Get anemometer and discover that these winds were about 15 mph

If its nice out I will fly wind or no wind. Granted I only hover when its windy. I do have a video my gf took of one my windy flights but I have no idea how to post it from my phone. It was the wind gust that made it very challenging. Especially when it gusty enough to feel it while driving my 4 door Buick.
Btw..my heli tipped over 3 days ago from the strong wind gust. I brought it down to move my phone case from my hip bc it was annoying my arm. Brought down..all sticks down..blades coming to a stop but slowly bc of the wind..I take my holster off and turn to throw it to the side and just as I did that I heard a thrashing sound. Sure enough it tipped over. Luckily not much damage was done since it was spooling down. A total of $100.

No one flies better than me..when I fly alone!
