Anyone out there using copilot or copilot 2 preferably on their radikal? Had a bad crash and I think that the copilot could have saved me.

helicommand HC3-SX
if i were you would go for the helicommand HC3-SX. i had to see this thing in person with my own eyes/i was flying with raja and ask him to make his spectra go mental like no control/he hits CAPTAIN RESCUE and in a split second the heli came to perfect level with a slow climb.i couldnt beleive how fast.its a bit pricy compared to othe units but one crash and it pays for itself.thats my opinion/and id rather try stuff live instead of sitting in front of a simmulator.

I don't know where I stand (or sit) on the whole "save buy butt switch" systems...

On one side I can see where the system can save you money and your heli from damage and encourage you to have confidence on trying somthing new, alot of us though just go for it and somtimes end up getting our heart rate a bit too high or even go home upset with the whole "why did I try that, I was not ready" issue.

But...

On the other side I also feel that these systems will dicourage actually learing ALL the proper orientations and progressive learning steps and practice that is required for "true" 3D skill. These systems allow you to jump over the parts about "bailout plans" learning the smaller steps before trying that Piroflip, etc...I have seen a bit too many pilots that seem good at 3D but can't hover nose in or recover from a dumb thumb move...thier flying many times looks chaotic and thier morphing and transitions look like crap. Of course to the average mall walker, this looks outstanding, but the rest of us that have been flying Helis for a while can most of the time see the difference.

So I guess I would say that these systems should not be used to bypass learning the baby steps...

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

I looked at the helocommand but you are correct about the price I can buy it but will prefer the cheaper option if anyone is currently using it.

I managed to hover in all orientations ...circles and fig 8s. I can also do flips. I will go as far as sport fly. I just want to have a "bail-out button" when needed. Really no interest in being a perfect pilot right now. But thank you for your feedback.
