Hi!.

First of all, sorry for my english

I have a 2XPT Camera rig.
When i bought it used, it came with continuous rotation servos installed.
When i connected the servos to the receiver, the rig started to move until i centered the sticks, so when i wanted to tilt, i pushed the stick and when i get the position i wanted,i returned the stick slowly to the center and the rig stoped.

Ok, now i took the potentiometers off of the servos, and installed outside the rig, so if the pan or tilt move, the potentiometer turns and the pan/tilt remain in the position where i have the stick.

Well, if i connect the pan servo ONLY to any channel, it works as desired.

If i connect the tilt servo ONLY to any channel, it works as desired.

So, where is the problem???

When i conect BOTH servos, both axes start to move out of control, so i have to disconnect the battery.

What is wrong with it?

I'll appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Víctor

I think that i know where the problem is.

The potentiometers are the original ones from inside the servos, that is, full metal potentiometers, the center pin of each pot is conected to the chasis pot, the pot is mounted on an aluminium support, the aluminium support is screwed to the CARBON FIBER rig, carbon fiber is conductive, so both center pins of both pots are electrically connected....i don't know what is going on inside the servos, but if i just unscrew the aluminium pot support from the rig, and test it, it works fine.

So, i have to find the way to shield the pots.

Thanks for your support.
