It would be possible to convert between the nitro and gas versions, but its not a simple process, it involves swapping out the full frames and the clutch system

I feel fairly confident that the gasser will be shipping before the next transit of Venus across the sun.

Really? Less mess, $4 a gallon of gas, the sheer air presence, way cool factor, sips like an ounce a minute....has a built in pull start..... for my thumbs it does the same as my whiplash e and the nitro....easy to tune.....with the new reed valve conversions you can get extremely similar results to nitro...

depends on which model and its configuration, somewhere between 2 lbs and about the same.

in general terms, gas powered models weigh about the same as 700 class electrics

Just want to say, if you are going to order this please chose to order from Ron's Heliproz South http://www.ronlund.com... I placed an order last night, and he called me today personally to make sure I created an account so he could give me 10% off being first time buyer, and refunded me 100 bucks.... who does that these day??? Ron does!!!!!!!

I'll second ordering from Ron Lund. I've been a customer ever since I got back in last year and then for many years before that and their service is second to none.

He also seems to have the most experience with MA products of anyone else I've been able to find. He's always supported Miniature ever since I can remember.

I ordered my electric Whippy from him over the weekend, I think they shipped it the next BD (Monday). But they're always that reliable....

Kits must be close!
I'm guessing that gWhip kits will be shipping VERY soon. I have no idea what the number of kits is vs. the back order demand, but I just have a strong sense that bird kits will be rolling out soon.

I wonder if Heliproz South gets their allotment shipped to them at the same time that first orders are shipped from Heliproz 'North'? If so, you Ron Lund guys get an extra wait

I realize I am not completely sure what the final price ended up at. Is the $999.99 price for the gWhip seen at the HP site and here, for real?
