Hello Guys,

I'm not new to this site but new to this forum. Please welcome me as I'm in the process of struggling through a Logo 600se build. Got it used with lots of missing parts so have been having to pickup the parts along the way as I discover them while building. Very frustrating. Almost at the tail end of my build but still stumbling along even as I near the end.

Anyway, my question is... Was ready to install the 690mm main blades when I noticed that the blade roots have a larger diameter hole than the M4 screw provided w/the VBar head blade grips. What are you guys using to get those mains on there w/o any lateral play? Are you using a collar or a larger screw?

Thanks in advance,
Byter

Align 3G 690mm with a M5 5mm blade root hole. The Mikado VBar FBL head grips have 4mm holes so when I insert the M4 bolts in the blades it's got a little play. What I need are 4mm Brass Bolt Bushings that usually come when you purchase a set of 690mm + blades. Got my blades used so it didn't come w/those bushings. Don't know of anyone that sells them separate.

They usually only come with the blades.

These will work but it looks like they are out of stock right now.

Ya Da Man! I think those are exactly what I'm looking for. Found them listed w/another seller who has them in stock. There's no description as to what size those brass collars are, but they have to be the right ones (5mm external/4mm internal diameters).

Thanks,

If you want a lifetime of 5mm to 4mm blade bolt reducers buy some bulk brass tubing and cut it to length.

Mcmaster-Carr has 5mm OD / 4mm ID brass tubing in stock for about $5, part number 88605K24. Your LHS might also have some.

Or redrill the blade holders to 5mm. I have not done it myself, but easy to do.

Problem with redrilling is that the slots for the M4 bolt head on top, and M4 locknut will no longer work, so you'll have to grind those areas flat to be able to use the M5 hardware. Then you run the risk of taking too much material off and weakening the grip...

I'll stick with the shims

Yeah... I gave that a thought. The redrilling to 5mm. For 2 seconds. I think I'll pass on that. As I mentioned above. I found the brass collars. Through it in my shopping cart along w/some other spare parts I've been needing. Waiting to see if they offer a discount for Christmas. Getting close though and they still haven't offered anything. Alternately, what I plan to do (as Kiba suggested) is see if I can find some copper or brass tubes at Home Depot or similar w/the same internal and external diameters as the bushings and then cut them down.
