Was just hovering my TRex 450 SE v2 about 10 feet off the ground and the power just cut out... heli was about 20 feet away. It seemed to be kind of autorotating to the ground when the power slammed back on at about 2 feet... I lost it and crashed

Fortunately no major damage that I can tell, just some new blades, maybe a main shaft.

But anyone have any ideas what to look for? Lipo had about 5 cycles on it and was at 60% when the power cut. Felt like something electrical rather than mechanical.

Suggestions?

Ever notice how crash rhymes with cash?

What are your settings in the ESC, particularly the voltage level at which it will start reducing power (some of them pulse the power), and is it set for soft cut-off ?

Settings in the esc... I converted the bird from spektrum to futaba about 10 flights ago, so just had to set it up again- but sadly that doesn't mean I remember the details

But I do remember it was the standard recommended settings, and with those 10 flights I definitely drained the lipos down to 18-20%...

I think it is set for soft cut off as well...

After you turn on your ESC it should be followed by
1 beep,then 2,1,2, and last 3.

or try going to trex tuning.
