I think I remember reading something in a Futaba manual about using a non-digital in an HS receiver. I kind of remember that said don't use it because it will kill the servo

Would the same be also true if I connected an analog servo to my CGY750 / R6203SB?

I'm asking because I just happen to have an old analog servo (that's ideal because it has plastic gears) that I want to use for the throttle in my new gasser.

Yes.

You can use that servo, but you mustn't not put the receiver in high speed mode if you plan on mapping that servo's function to any of the three pwm slots in the receiver.

The better way to do it would be to keep the receiver in high speed mode, run the throttle through S.bus, then tell the governor menu to drive the servo as an analog.
