Hello Century Guys....
I'm in need of help with a Predator NX Gasser...
I'm helping a Buddy with the build and the servo arms/links hit the servo Case on both Aile and pitch ...

I'm via my cell at the moment.... I will post pics up once I'm home from work....

Thank you all in advance....

No Help yet....
Sorry to say this, though not even Century !
When I called them up, the REP on the phone said he had no specs for the ds8711 and to just flip the balls around ... Like that's some great help.

Sorry peeps, I having trouble loading up the pics since they are high pixels... Sorry on the poor pics, I had to take this ones with my cell phone.

The servos are JR ds8711's....
The ball links under the servo horns hit the top of the servo case...
Seems like the balls hang to low ...
The pics that shows both ds8711's is when I flipped the servo around to see if it would work this way... I can flip the throttle servo around to clear, though the links would be way to long and my LHS don't have any links close to that length to even try it.

also, the links are all the way in on the link and are still to long, this are the links that came in the kit.

any help and or ideas is appreciated....

Thanks

Your front cyclic servos are reverse mounted...

See manual:

Thanks for the info Guys !

Sparx.....
Wrong model ... as wrong Servos for this application ?

Billme.....
Thanks... I know the servo is reversed, I was trying out this way with shorter links. It works ok this way, though the links are off my Trex.

I would like to know from the Predator guys if there is something I missed, doing wrong or see something I don't.
I have tried shorter balls and they clear the case more... Though, it still don't tell me what is wrong with this heli as the plastic links still rub the case. I can use the smaller and thinner tail plastic links ... Would those be ok to use though ?

Thank you all for your time on this... Hope the pics are clear to my links rubbing set back...

Thanks guys...
Juan

I'm not familiar with that model, but can you mount the servo on the inside of the frame and flip the balls around so they're facing out? It looks to me like that would solve your problem.

Thanks for the Quick help Dood...
I have tried that as well, the plastic links still rub... The century newer links are fat... I'll be trying it later today with all grey links... If they can handle the tail, I'm sure they can handle the cyclic too.

I'm working on my Gasser conversion as we type, so ill be trying on a DS610 once I'm home... If it clears, then it should be the extra high hump on top the servo case on the ds8711's ...

Would filing them down a bit to flaten help or is it out of the question?

Pistol Pete...
That is a good Qs...
Good thing I ordered a bag of links from Century, so I will try filing some links down and trying them...
Thanks for the idea Pete...

The only links that rub are the bottom ones on the arms... also, the links are way to long for what the manual calls for. I wonder if this kit came with the wrong length metal rod links...

Thank you guys for helping me out with this...
