Nice work and nice graphics, but one thing I've found is that I had lots more sucess using the simulator until I DID NOT have to think about it.
In other words. Work the simulator until the majority of your movement is NOT thinking. When inverted, it helps to wiggle the sticks some instead of making hard movements. When you move the stick and then it goes in the opposite direction you expected, you simply move the other way with your fingers. I noticed my son that when he was learning nose-in with his coaxial, he'd move one way, realize it was the wrong way, then instantly move the other way. Kids learn so darn fast so I had to watch his first couple flights as I asked him to land nose-in on a box on his bed with his MCX2. The more stick movements he did, the more he learned.
