Has anyone ever used an AR7100R receiver ( and not use the rev limiter obviously) with their TDR so they don't have to run a regulator and use HV servos and battery direct to the receiver and throttle, rudder plugged into the regulated side. Is that how it would be plugged in?? What about vbar?? Is it even possible to do that or is there a better reciever for my jr radio?

If using spectrum receivers what are you guys using? I also have the 9 channel receiver that came with my 9303 radio?

Hi
The 7100 has dual voltage, both going to the vbar.

There was a wiring diagram for a custom cable on the vstabi site to overcome this.

Paul

Im confused too. I am new to the Vbar unit, and have not purchased it yet.

So the Vbar unit can function as a receiver aswell?? Its not just a FBL unit??

Yes, just hook up the spectrum or jr satelites to it.

exactly

http://www.readyheli.com/JRPRR121-R...le_p_34596.html

and

http://www.readyheli.com/JRPRR121X-...le_p_38490.html

You'd use those if you run Spektrum DSM2 or DSMX. SBus is the same thing but we only need one little unit like...

http://www.readyheli.com/FUTL7666-F...50_p_38493.html

and we run one wire into the vbar unit from it. Either way, the days of 5 wires into both the rx and vbar are finally over.

With that said, you can use whatever you have now and do just fine bro. Functionality doesn't change at all. Both have all the bells and whistles you'd ever need. The new way can just do it in one wired box to the FBL unit. Spektrum or Futaba both can do it. I hear rumors that others might too but I don't use them.
