Look what the guys in Florida miss:
Shorter flight times with electric and lower power
hard starting nitro engines(if they start at all)
Frozen fingers.
Frozen toes.
Better crashes because the ground is frozen.
Really frozen fingers with nitro spilled on them.
Getting to the field with 3 feet of snow on the ground.

All of these things add to the joy of the hobby.

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

Oh I'm ready for Spring BUT since our winter is starting much later this year, that only makes Spring that much closer. In 2 1/2 months, we should be ready for flight.

Our winter hasn't started either. Beginning to wonder if we will have snow for Christmas... Not that I'm complaining...I wouldn't mind if we skipped snow this year!

Come on . . . it was 38 degrees in some parts of Florida recently. Winter 2010 Miami dropped into the 30's. That Spring thing doesn't hold all Winter for them.

Yes but all of those things make you a better pilot and stronger person!

I'm a terrible person and a bad pilot, perhaps I should move to Rochester to work on my poor skills and bad personality.

I reallize your blood is much thinner than mine. Here in Illinois, the temps "can" drop very low...like -20 degrees. And that isn't including the wind chill.

Try walking outside and when you try to breath through your nose, it freezes shut! And when you switch to your mouth, it hurts to breath in because it is so cold. You get into your car and your seat feels like a block of ice. You go to start your car the the motor turns over very very slowly...rer...rer...rer...put, put, put, put, verrrrrooooom.

Although its not that way all the time here, but two plus days to a month during te winter. After a cold spell like that...30 degrees feels like 70+. It is shorts and T-shirt weather!
