If anyone is still flying the v-max post a pic of it.
Have you done any upgrades or kept it stock?
I would like to know if anyone still likes this helicopter
as much as i do.

Was there any real benefit from the conversion?

I have an Raptor 90 that has a mix of TT and Quick UK upgrades - I don't think there is one more I could add.

But, it is still using the original mCCPM layout.

I looked at the Quick UK conversion, and it seemed neat. But after spending almost $600 for all of the upgrades, I couldn't see spending another $400 on the eCCPM conversion (side frames and linkages).

I would have to expect that with the G4 release, there really isn't any point to the conversion - just buy a G4.

But, I am interested to know what you think - was it worth it?

Was it worth it? yes
Remember back then TT had no eccpm.
My v-max has eccpm,a stack frame with no flex, m3 control rods
, and to me looks better. So why buy a G4.
I hope this ansewered your question.

I have 2 R90's set-up with the Vmax chassis and my R90G is next in line for the upgrade.

They fly great and look awesome!

IYKIST
That does not look like a v-max, It looks like some kind
of Frankenstein helicopter.
I can kinda see where the top looks like a v-max but than
the bottom looks like a Vibe, but then you see the v-max and
the Raptor parts.
You have got to tell me what you did here! I like this..

I have all the upgrades on my Raptor 90.
So, I asked Quick UK what it would cost to convert to the VMax - side frames, radio mount, links, arms - etc.

Since I already have the Quick UK tailboom / drive assembly, main bearings, etc - I can use a lot fewer new parts.

They said it is about $200 USD.

Worth considering.
I think after the conversion, it would be basically a G4.

I think IYKIST's heli looks much better than the V-Max; IMO of course. I really don't like the look of the V-Max, looks bulky, gaudy, and it looks heavy with all that extra crap, the mCCPM flies just fine, why change it? I don't see any benefit to this conversion, maybe if I flew one I'd change my mind, but I doubt it. That's the good thing about the older Raptors, no interaction; now you're introducing interaction.

V-max looks bulky;I have never seen any Raptor look bulky.
Gaudy, All I can say to that is, beauty is in the eye of the
beholder.
My v-max is just as heavy as my Raptor SE.
Input is faster with eccpm than mccpm.
If you are ever in the Tidewater area let me know and
you can try my v-max and my SE then tell me what you think.
