Texas didn't get this manufacturer: Colt...but Florida did (another business friendly state).

Makes you wonder why other states don't try to attract businesses...maybe they will when grocery stores close up.

tell me what the heck f is /$65g for family of 5
a house
car note
4 kid to school
insurance
phone bill
medical bill
school loan
and state tax " this isn't a tax free state
and food
where do you think i live!!! utha ?
this's california damit
Live within your means so if you cant afford the car payment you should have bought a used car. There are student loan programs that let you pay barely nothing each month while you are poor (been there done that.) Finally I started in north carolina where I loved it and did not want to leave but I could not afford it so I moved to a cheaper state so you can do the same. You are not forced to stay in cali.

It is up to the individual to roll with the punches and adapt because situations change nothing is guarnateed. It should not be the taxayers responsibilty to subsidize a life that you created that you cannot afford anymore.

but how many folk out there you think have this opportunity, i don't
think you know what the median income is for many folk nowadays
,

Laughable. Obviously, if you can do it, anybody can do it (I'm not poking fun at you here). Just saying that everybody has that right in this country and that's the point and the beauty of it all. I was making darned good money in engineering when I went out on my own. Worked out weel until 2006 when it all crashed. Now I can't go back, just have to hold on until it gets better. But that was my decision, just as it's other's people's decision to sit back and do nothing but put their hand out. THOSE are the un-American's amongst us.
PS - If you made that kind of money living in Florida, you'd be doing QUITE WELL!!!! You can blame your plight on living in that commy state/blight on our country called Commifornia.

This's so true; i almost got kill by a white man for for quoting the
same thing you said he was my friend sister husband' the guy never like to work, but i didn't that, we were talking about social policy
in he state'

so i mention that american is too laid back, ' when i came here, in the late 90's i was working 2 and 3 job while i was going to colleges;
while the folk in this country sit back and wait for the [1st and the 15th] i am glad clinton is going to cut the bullsh!t" out and send these
son of a b back to work, because they got the best health and strength,

and the guy got mad and want to blow my head off'

this' was the case because he was one of those son-of-b you know'

when clinton sign the bill i was thinking it was going to be the end of cali, just like the rodney king moment, ' but it went well

because he gave the state money so these bastard can go learn a new skill

no more can'i barrow $50 i pay you back on the 1st or 15th' and they were sure of it; they' never even lift a straw from the day they born,

I was waiting on some honey but there aren't no Queen bee,

I' don't know of anyone who will fully do something they couldn't afford to, i tell you how i see it,

when clinton leave office we have huge surplus the economy was booming all the usa have to do is' just kick back and count our money.

when bush came i call it like father like son' i was in my country
when the daddy screw thing up,
backt to the point" ' after he took office and start rolloing back what clinton have in place, then the economic woe beging" 1st war' then a 2nd war' then a tax cut' and a stimulous" to try to brake up the cycle of the economic woe he created, [[your word should h've be no one

shouldn't do anything big and fancy]] because we don't know what the future president might bring; and this is a sick idea' too

if i got the money i will buy what i want' as many as i want' live where i want to' a preident fail economic policy bring about some mess

then tell me i brought the stint, on my self because i should live whithin my mean, everyone shop in good time, and they weren't looking down the road' that this fort head; was going to f/up like his daddy did and put this nation in a recession,

i like your conservitive idea don't spend it' let the government
take it and gave it away over sea to terrorist so they can target us
with more plane,

Yes, and just one of the primary reasons for that was that he signed into law the biggest tax increase on tax payers and business in US history for its time. And, we were not on any kind of war footing at all. Clinton also signed into law a major welfare reform that the republicans turned into legislation that saved the country millions upon millions in welfare costs and fraud. Of course, Clinton took full credit for that.

That tax increase started to show its affects after Clinton was out of office, and shortly before the 9/11 attacks. To offset that, Bush signed into law the "Temporary" tax cuts that are still, to this day in effect.

Hey right on!

I have designs in China turning out money every day.

The company I worked for (retired now) decided to go to China a couple of decades ago because we saw an unlimited number of customers. We don't export from China to the US. We just make products for China and Asia and send money back on the boat.

There's great money to be made in China...you just have to know their rules...I suppose that applies everywhere.

Many people think Japan lost WWII, but they just switched battlefields from the Pacific to the manufacturing.

China skipped the war and went straight to manufacturing. We are in a war and our governments want to worry about everything except what pays our bills.

It is ironic that in a short time span the communists have pretty much beaten the western capitalists at a game in which we have had so much more practice,or so it appears,or have the elite and best business brains of the west just seen China as an empty factory with unlimited cheap and compliant labour and a collosal untapped market. These guys are not mega wealthy from being stupid. The bottom line is profit. The next question, where does this leave the rest of us mere mortals that have had good wages,a good lifestyle now we have fallen out of favour with the large corporations who prefer willing cheap Asian labour and very favourable overheads.I think unless you are highly educated, highly skilled in a specialist field times are going to get extremely tough, you aint seen nothing yet.Even with a "new"president

I say both.

Just because they are commies doesn't mean they are stupid. And perhaps communism is now getting a little old in China as it did in the USSR.

Once Chinese people get their iPods and luxury sedans, they may want a little more freedom too...oops the genie is out of the bottle.

china is already pricing themselves out of the labor market already similar to how the unions do here in usa. My old job has stuff made in china and when we went to expand and build more buildings the new factory had to be built so far away from everything else because labor costs are going up in the big cities in china. The logistical costs are so high in china to get the cheap labor that is was just cheaper to build the new factory in a right to work state tennessee and that's what they did.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you thought the Chinese are stupid. Don't forget you and I are separated by a common language.

You have your Queen's English and I have the Texas version...hey don't turn your nose up at me!

A group of us Texans had a Brit guide us around jolly old England for two weeks and at the end, he was speaking like us...poor guy was genuinely upset that his speech had been polluted. I hope he recovered.
