I have a Barn find here that I picked up and once getting it home I cleaned it up a little well pretty good actually. Everything moves freely and not all beat up, I did not mess with the motor at all. Motor is an OS Max SF and says 61 on the reverse side. And writing on the side of the frame piece says Schluter but that's all it says on it so I do not know anything more as far as what it is. The gentleman who lived at the home said he bought it som years ago but couldn't remember what it was called. Google search brought me here. I'm trying to get a estimated value so I can sell it so I can get my son a small electric Heli for xmas!

Schluter Superior

That's a Schluter Superior, vintage early 80's. Was there a caopy with it?

From what the older guy said who owned it he bought it new and fired it maybe 3 times and didn't really fly it but maybe 1 time for about 10 minutes. He couldn't remember what he did with anything else to it thought as it sat for years just collecting dust.

The bird is out of production and replacement parts are very hard to find, that limits its resale value. 1-2 hundred on ebay is my guess.

Yeah I think I'm going to try elsewhere first before having to pay out just to sell it. I got it on rcuniverse and other places now so we'll see what happens!

what it's worth

Greetings: What it's worth, is only what someone is willing to pay for it. Sometimes, old, is not gold. I look at the scrap value. With some parts missing, (canopy, empty servo hole). The condition of other parts, have to factor in. Someone may be looking for just the frames, others, other parts. I think that, and, I know, that it's just me thinking, the sum of your parts, come up to only $125.00 with shipping included. I see a Heliboy on EBay, only 1 bid at a hundred bucks. Yet, a volitation 9053, by double horse, on ebay, can be had for only 65.00 free shipping. I have 2 of them, good indoor fun. Okay, back to your ship. Good luck with it, I hope that you can sell it for more, I really do, It makes my Schluter stuff, seem more valuable to me. But, then again, that's just me.

Any info helps no matter weather its what someone wants to hear or not. Thanks and as big as this is and the weight I'm thinking shipping would not be cheap so I would just give it to my 5 yr old to have as a play toy if after tearing things apart on it and getting boxes and all that and shipping I'd be looking at maybe $75 or so out of it then it would be less work to me to just let my son have it! And I don't mean that as in for him to tear up as most kids woud. my 5yr old runs a Losi 8ight t 2.0 brushless truggy at the local track along with 4 other cars and trucks. And has a brushless plane. As justin jee is to flying helis my son it to driving trucks. LOL

For shipping you take the tail boom off, along with the head and landing gear and servo tray. Place it in a box filled with plastic peanuts. 25 bucks ups ground.
