I have been flying 50 and 90 size helis for a long time ... no serious 3d, mostly flips, rolls, loops, inverted, etc ... I'm more into scale lately also ..

So I'm looking to get a 450 sized heli to throw around at the school field that's right by my house .. what would you guys recommend ?

I'm thinking of a 450 trex pro combo setup .. the FBL set up looks cool, but i don't think i really need it ..

thanks for any opinions that can better steer me in my selection

Your on the right track
Align 450 Pro V2 and I would go FBL option

Main thing is parts are everywhere for it

Good luck

As a newbie to flying I would say go with that kit FBL. The agility a quickness of a 450 sure made it easier to fly a larger heli. The Trex's are so easy to get parts for too. I would think by playing around with it this winter, once you fly your larger helis come spring you will have found your skills improved over the winter. Plus lower crash cost lend to learning things as you just feel more comfortable because crashes cost so much less.
just my .02

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

Might keep an eye on the new Blade 450 coming out too...at least I am. It will have the new spectrum/beastx fbl receiver included,
which are both already proven electronics, now combined.

LHS said maybe another 2-3 weeks? But I know how that goes w. new
releases too...................

For no other reason than just because....I would take a look at the Mini Protos, or the CYB 450.

thanks for the replies guys ... looks like its most likely going to be a Trex 450 pro ... just debating fly bar or fearlessness ...

Hi heliVoY, Good choice on T-rex 450! You will acquire a great flight with that helicopter. And if you go to a flybarless you will be happier!

Lol belt or tt is out of the equation. He knows how to fly.
