Me too. I've been very pleased with the YS56. Hope the 60 runs just as well or better. If it is not as smooth as the 56, I will pass. I am using FBL on my helis and vibration with FBL is very bad.

Just an observation, this YS 60SR ran smoother than the 56 that it replaced. The 56 ran great... but the tail had an ever so slight 'tick'. With the 60 it was dead solid.

Anyone know if the new YS 60SR is also designed to run on 15% nitro like the new 120?

Probably not,but theres no reason why you couldnt use 15% it will just have less power.

Just pulled the Vibe 50 out the closet. Going fly barbless and the YS 60 should be a great heli. Hopefully it will fly as good as my SG.

Never loose airspeed, altitude and ideas all at the same time.

Just a thread bump.

Any news yet?

I guess we'll know when the 56s drop in price...

Been testing one for a month now. Using Byron Masters blend for fuel. I have ran the 60 on 30% as well as 15%. On 15% the YS60 is making noticeably more power then the previous 55-56-57 engines ever did. I originally started on 30% and switched to 15%. The power difference is very slight between the 2 fuels.

I am running the new Hatori 60NS pipe but have ran the engine on the older 55-56 pipes and it does very well. Still noticeable increase in power over the old engines. The new pipe makes the engine sound lower toned and smoother....more like the 90s.

The 60 is proving to be very versatile with fuel nitro % and pipe choice. Noticeable increase in power no matter what. I haven't noticed any measurable loss in flight time over the 56.

Aaron, how smooth is the 60 compared to the 56? Did the 60 retain the low vibration characteristics of the 56? My 56's make great power already. I fly FBL and vibration and most FBL units don't play well together.

Thanks Aaron for the reply. Can't wait, looks like I'll skip the 56 and go from my ys50 to 60 that is, unless an enterprising dealer wants to sell off the 56 for the cost of a 50.............

Aaron and I have the same heli, same servos, same everything except the motor and pipe. I have the YS56 and hatori 55.
Let me tell you after watching him fly that thing I have never been so excited about a motor release ...EVER!
Aaron is being a little modest, This thing pulls hard!

1st off they stuffed it into a 50 size case. From there I would think they had to change the porting and such but maybe not. I really don't care what they did different. From what I have seen, it's working pretty darn well!

To add to the carb tuning, they got rid of the screw driver hi needle and put a regular one in that you can adjust with your fingers.
