Heard from Hanson & said couldn't find anything wrong with the Zenoah 20. But did say the crank had alot of end play in it & thats probably what noise i was hearing when trying to start. Said the 20's are a little harder to pull start than the 26's are...Going to balance & true the crank & take out the end play for me & ship back...

Got motor back and put back in heli. Still cant get it to run. Ordered a rxecl ignition but won't be in till next week. I have good spark in plug. I aligned the magnet at the 10 o'clock position on the fan. I'm using a fromeco regulator on the ignition and the voltage is 4.8 volts. This is driving me nuts. Going to get a 4.8 volt battery I guess and try it.. It fires on the choke but won't run..

If it will run on choke, it is not ignition, it is most likely carburation. Did Hanson test run the engine?

Explanation:
An engine needs compression, fuel and spark.
Unless spark is intermittent (not very common), you either have it or you don't, and when spark is intermittent, it will misfire, not quit running. Based on this, I would rule out spark

Fuel - the engine needs the correct mixture of fuel and air. 95% of small engine problems are fuel related. An air leak can mess with mixture, but once again, it is not very common. Make sure the carb is clamped securely and if Hanson just went thought it, all of the other areas should be air tight.

If it will run on choke pumping lots of extra fuel into the engine and you turn the choke off and it stops, you are lacking fuel on the normal fuel circuit. There are only two major reasons for this, lack of fuel due to carb not supplying enough or an air leak. After verifying the carb clamping, check/clean the carb.

Hope this helps

Also got the aluminum isolator block from Hanson. I replaced all the guts inside carburetor as well. I put a primer bulb on the carb and it won't pull fuel out of tank. I have all the diaphragms and fuel pump in correctly. At this point I don't know what's up.

Ok,You have three lines coming out of your tank. One is a vent one is a return and one is fuel pick up.Take your finger and put it at the end of the vent line to block it off.Take the other two lines of the carb.Blow lightly in to the return line and see if fuel comes out of the other line. This will tell you that your tank and lines are good.If this works than most likely you have a carb problem.Check that all the pulse holes are lined up correctly.

Well finally got it running. I was using the electric starter & i guess it was just spinning motor to fast. I used the pull starter & it ran. I did run it 2 times without any issues. Now put blades back on & hopefully go fly it..
