I'm really old, and my bikes have to look like bikes, old school from the 50's.
That's just me.

But.... I like fuel injection, disk brakes, 6 gears (for highway crusin), and lots of chrome, just needs to look old school.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Love the springer gyro makes me miss my heritage that I had years ago. Loved the look of it, fishtails springer soft leather bags and all.

Personally I like all types of motorcycles. That being said, choppers are limited in what you can do because there is not much to them. You could definitely do more innovative type things with a bagger.

They only had 3 weeks to build the bike. If any of you have done anything like this you would understand that it is not a lot of time to get the job done. Personally I think Jesse James by far out of this group the best builder. I think he knew going in that he wasn't going to win because this was a cake decorating contest. Most of the people that voted probably never owned a motorcycle, so they are going to vote for what they think looks cool. I do think that JJ hit the nail on the head when he said the sound of production at the the other shops was a truck backing up to the door.

Jr didn't build the frame, the wheels, the fork, or the rear suspension. He found someone else that could build what he wanted and bolted it together. I saw them make the gas tank but I can't really remember seeing them working on anything else.

Just because JJ built something basic doesn't mean he can't do anything else. I think this bike is pretty innovative for a chopper.

JJ may have done more building on his and his may be more practical but from a person who knows very little about bikes JJ bike would not really stand out if it were in a crowd of nice bikes.

JR's on the other hand was something very different and anyone with either a eye for choppers or without an eye for choppers would remember it. His would draw more attention and make people take notice which is the business he is in building bikes to get company's noticed.

Both builders are great at what they do. JJ builds a nice bike that is practical and appeals to the true riders and JR builds a bike that draws attention. I do not really think one is better than the other as they are both really good at what they do and who they cater bikes to.

In the end I think it’s great that they both make money doing something that they both enjoy doing...
