Found these digging thru some stuff.

Would like to know the vintage and manufacturer. Guessing 1940's. Maybe early 50's? Bausch & Lomb? There are no markings anywhere, except for the word 'AVIATION' on the case. The lenses are glass. There's no corrosion on the frames (like you'd get with brass). Maybe they're gold plated? Just curious....

There, their and they're. It's really that simple.

I know Ray Ran has made aviator glasses for a very long time...heck I was issued Ray Ban aviators 16 years ago and my pops was as well in Vietnam....I'm sure there has to be someone (not nessesarily here) that is a vintage sunglasses nut that would know.

Ask your Doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

Looking at the color of the lens, I'm willing to bet that those are shooting glasses. Dark green or gray would be more typical of aviator glasses/

I'm going to go with late 50's early 60's gold-plated Ray Bans. Ray Bans are Bausch & Lomb. If the were from the 30's and 40's they would have green lenses but they could have had the lenses replaced. Another reason I think its from the 50's or 60's is because plastic wasn't used commercially until the late 40's. That is plastic over the bridge.

Still a nice frame. Take the lenses out, take the frame to a jeweler and have him clean it up, then stick some new lenses in the frame.

Grey, glass is still done by a lot of labs. Its an outdated material and the process is time consuming and expensive. Most labs and doctors will try to push you away from glass.
