I will be using a DS650 servo for my T- Rex 700e. I am using an Align bec powered by a 1900mAH 7.4 2s. This battery is used only for my electronics. Do I need to use the step-down voltage regulator for the DS650? Thanks guys!

Good question.
The DS650 is rated for a 6.0v input.
You didn't say which Align reg you are using, but most output 5.2v.

You are fine.

I run my DS650 + Quark at 5.2v on the regulated output of my AR7100R.

I am using the Align RCE-BSX bec powered by the 1900mAh 7.4 battery. So if the DS650 is 6.0volts, will I need the step-down? I do not want to fry the servo. Any opinions?
