Can anybody tell me why on this new T-rex 600N flybar Heli,I got it finished and all the linkage rods are set to specs and all servo horns are vertical, all the swash control arms are horizontal,At mid stick which is 50% pitch curve I should be at 0 degress of pitch, but I'm not.I'm getting about 4 1/2 degrees of positive pitch. And if I adjust the linkage rods to 0 degrees of pitch at mid stick then I only get about 9 degress of + pitch at high stick.I don't get it.All the other Heli's that I have built if you set every thing to book specs they will be right at 0 degrees of pitch at mid-stick.Any body know what I'm doing wrong.

Make long rod adjustments to get zero at 1/2 stick . 1/2 stick is typically 5 to 5 1/2 deg pitch .You might need to adjust swash links also to achieve zero at 1/2 ,this is normal adjustments .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

If swash is level and you cant lower/lift front with rods you only adjust the long rods from swash to levers and pitch links ,you will be able to get zero.

Yeah I did that.I shortened the long rods to achieve 0 at mid stick, but then I only get 9 degrees of pitch at high stick.

you can raise atvs or swash mix ,what TX and what are your swash mix numbers ? ATVs all at 100/100 and swash mix +50%
+50%
+50%
If swash doess not cordinate to stick movements either reverse channels and if still not coresponding on your mix you cna get + or - to correct

If using pitch guage dont focus on true numbers but just that all is moving in correct dirrection and zero at 1/2 stick

I done did all that.Swash plate moves evenly up and down.Swash ATV's are set to where I get maximum travel.Swashplate moves all the way to the top and all the way to the bottom.I think the only way I'm going to achieve what I'm after is to rotate the servo horn's one tooth to lower the swashplate, but then the swash linkage arms won't be horizontal and level when at mid stick.

you should be able to achieve pitch with all at 90 Deg .Your swash is not bottoming out ? Pictures at this point will help . You could have short servo arms or upside down mixing arms .What pitch guage are you using ?

Do you have manual ? make sure all head parts are correct ,the deg of pitch doesent matter to me just the fact that it sounds like you are over traveled and not getting high deg of pitch .

Like I said, pics.lol
4 should do. Mid stick, full positive, full negative of the swash and one with full positve of the pitch gauge. This sure will help.

Your swash at mid stick needs to be higher. I have never worked on this heli and don't know how to do it but that will fix your problem.

Just saw your second set of pics....

What does the head look like at mid stick (zero degrees) -- especially the mixing levers up on the main blade grips?

Is that one of the new V2 heads? The mixing arms are attached to the grips.

At center stick, your washout arms are both level, that is correct. The upper mixing arms should be level also, but they are not. I would first lengthen the long linkage rods until the upper mixing arms are level, then adjust the short links until the blade pitch is zero. At that point I think your pitch range should be better.
