i'm setting up a furion 450 on a v4 minivbar (black). i probably wouldnt be so concerned--or would not have noticed might be more appropriate-- about the issue if i hadn't just fried a brand new servo on the bench already doing setup.

so, new servo installed, just got done with the setup, unplugged everything, and happened to brush my skin with one of the servos. it wasn't hot. but definitely warm. and, this is the same location as the one that just burned up during setup. the opposite side servo is cool. but, the elevator servo is warm as well.

i verified 5.5vdc out of the ice50 lite after the last one burned. and, again this is just sitting on the bench doing setup stuff...mostly just sitting at rest.

the s3156 are digital. as far as i know i can't adjust the frequency of the servos in the software. should i be concerned about a little heat--especially since not all servos are getting warm?

there is no binding. what could be causing this??? any thoughts?

if it ain't broke, break it.

Be careful with the 3156. They are great servos and I use them in a lot of fixed wing projects but I have had several fail in helicopters. They will quickly over heat if stalled for any length of time. PM me if you want my thoughts on 450 size FBL servos.

thanks.

i really like the airtronics from what i've heard from others. i just had these sitting on the shelf. but, if they're all gonna crap out before i ever get off the ground i'll just pull them and reshelf for a plane or something.

if it ain't broke, break it.
