Can you run 8.4 volts (2s lipo) on the throttle cable of Castle ICE HV ESC's? All of my servos and receiver are spec'd to run HV. I'd like to set my BEC to 8.4 volts and just go.... Thanks!

Opto isolated "non BEC" ESC's has no issue with this, if you are not sure, pull the RED cable.

not sure about ICE2 since it has built in data logging extraction via that interface, perhaps better to pull the red cable, it's a safe way to do it at least.

Been a while since I had a ICE esc, but I run 8.4v on various ESC's right now at this moment, and Those who have BEC I just pull the red cable which is the way to go.

So that will work for sure.

Good question, but the post on rcg tells me you do not have to either, as they answered its ok with 2s.

I believe the red wire on the HV ECS takes power from the Rx to power the Opto circuit.

just an update, the hacker 125 definatley needs a rx power source to work. it is recommended 4.8/ 6.0 volts. 8v and you are on your own apparently.
all the best for the holidays guys
