I have a 450 Pro with BeastX, 65MG's and Align M motor. With my previous setup I was using the Align ESC and seperate Castle BEC. I replaced the with Kontronik Koby 40 and was told I no longer need to use the seperate BEC. I am kinda on the fence of which way I should go with it. Any info would be much appreciated.

Easy to check do the pitch pump test, i.e. put in hold and move swash minute or so as much and fast you can with sticks if it doesn't cut power it's good

Common sense may not be common after all

I have been using the Koby on my 450 FBL sport using the internal bec without any problems. I have not hooked up a meter to look at the line regulation but I have not had any glitches.

MKS 8910A+
Futaba s-bus rx
Koby set to default bec voltage of 5.6Volt I think it is.
6S setup.

This is the answer I have been looking for!
Thank you very much for the reply, I have just hovered around the house and all seems fine but not had a chance to go out and throw it around. I will follow up with my results.
Thanks again

Used a koby 90 in my 550 with align ds610's and a 650 on tail and the internal bec was fine! Did the fast pitch pump test on the ground for about 10 seconds to see if i could make my rx lights flash (spektrum rx lights flashing signifies a brown out, voltage drop below 3.5v).

60% of the time, it works every time!

Ok,
Took it out today for a good beating and it performed perfectly for 6 flights, I love this thing with the beast x, and the Koby 40 is awesome!
Thanks for the replies.
Happy Holidays to all!!!!
