I was holding out for a brushless one but just pulled the trigger for a BLH3680

Not a lot of difference as near as I can tell, just all the fixes they've learned from the first few batches.

I just bought one too! I had one and thought it was too small, worried about repairing it, Flew it a few times and sold it. Mine will be here next week. Good indoor practice.

I read somewhere it (v2) has an improved 3ch ADC gyro chip that might operate more efficiently. Also larger tail rotor (blade?) and better main motor.

My LHS said they could order me one. I don't know if that means they can do it right now or put me on waiting list but they have direct line to Horizon. All they do is the e-flight.

Course I order mine right as V2 is approaching. Ah well.

Servos are "ball bearing" supported shafts - not true in the original version? (don't know)

I got some of the KBDD tail blades for it, may not need them. I'll try 'em just cuz I like the color

Yeah it's not all that much difference, just some kit updates it seems.
I'm sure mine won't end up with any stock parts on it but the board anyways after a while and even that will end up being modified.

I'd be interested to hear from somebody who does end up getting both V1 and V2 if the new board flies any more crisp.

From what I got from the German sites was that the 3 axis is slightly improved and it has the new tail blade. No one noticed a marked improvement in the main motor over v1. Anyone that bought a v1 did the grommet mod so that's not a game changer. As far as the battery.....well.....it's eflite so trash them for nano techs or hyperion and be happy. Not worth the price for the minor changes.

The as3x is the same as what has always been in the Mcpx, they've just branded it now. All the ones that my LHS have had for a couple months have had stickers on them saying that they have the AS3X.

I think I saw close up pictures of the two different boards somewhere.
The old one uses two gyro chips while the new one only uses one.

I could be wrong!

If that's the case, then they've been shipping them for a while. They got the As3x ones in right about the same time the system was announced and the Price for the rtf dropped to $170. I know, I bought one. It flies the same as the older ones.

Anybody got pics? All the pics on horizon are of the original. I'm particularly interested in the link dampers. Are they to reduce play between the links and balls, which anyone can fix with the grommet mod, or are they to prevent the balls from breaking off which is a real problem on the rear ball?

I saw some detail pics, I think they were on the European Horizon site. The swash looked the same, just with grommets on it like a lot of people do with their originals.

Ampdraw.com was recently selling the older (V1) mCP X BNF for $118. Not sure if they were trying to clear out stock to make room for incoming v2's but does anybody else know where to get cheap v1 mCP X's? im looking to pick another one up before everybody only stocks v2's

Normally trees and heli's dont mix..
