I am going to be starting to do night flying soon. Unfortunately I am unable to start until after the holidays. So I won't be able to do it at the Orlando Heli Blowout. Anyone with either the N5c or original N5 that used a night setup can you either PM me or just post here so everyone can use the knowledge. If you know about the following can you post cause this is how I would like to have mine.

I don't have two helis so it will have to be removable at least for lights on the tail. So using double sided tape is out of the question. I am going to get a blank canopy since you really don't see the paint on a canopy only the lights. The canopy will be strictly for night flying so that won't need to be removable.

Blades are the main thing I'm worried about. I can't afford the night blades from radix so I want to just attach lights on a set that I have. I have seen people that have done this, but I am unsure about the best way to do this. I know they need to be balanced and all that. I have a set of Radix Stickbangers that I plan to use. I know they are light especially for FBL, but I am hoping that adding the lights and battery will add enough weight to make them usable.

If you can help me at all whether its posting a pic of your setup or giving me advice. It would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures are worth a 1000 words. You have your work cut out for you.

Thanks very much thenewguy. I like the way you lit up the skids. The pics will help a lot, and I only have one question. What lights are you using on your heli and blades (Mainly Blades), and on the blades what battery are you using. If you could either direct me to somewhere that someone shows you how to do it or you can tell me yourself it would help a lot. I don't want to mess anything up and I don't know much about night rigs.
Thanks Stephen

nice!

Nice to see you starting to night fly Stephan. Drop the lights and get 3 buddies and 3 big spotlights XD. Better orientation.
