Kalt Baron. Futaba M series radio with coloured servos. Remember those? Black for normal rotation, red for reverse. 1981 so no gyro of course.

Concept 30 dx bought second hand on a whim.
Sold it on after I could do a circuit. I seem to remember it was rebuilt a few times.

@steelersdean

Thank you. My 1st heli was one of those things that was connected with a speedometer cable to a handheld motor with 3 "D" cell batteries and you spun around like an idiot but I cant a find a picture of one.

Now, my first RC heli was a Schluter MiniBoy in 1982. It was a beast, but I loved it.

I found one wrapped in a time capsule 3 years ago, mechanical gyro and all, except I never had a gyro back them.

My first was a Lite machines LM110. Fixed pitch, and kind of a flybar gyro on the tail. On good days I could get it up in the air and flying around very nice. On bad days, it would just sit on the ground with the blades spinning. For what that heli cost in 2000, i could have gotten an R30 V1 for just $100 more. It was the only heli I had I could crash, pick up, fix the blades back into the grips, and go back to flying around. The sad part is, I have crashed way more planes than helis.

The world is yours!

Walkera 36a rtf

I had rc cars and boats when I was young but my dad wouldn´t buy me a rc-helicopter

So when I saw thread on one non-rc forum about cheap rc helis I thought "I have aways wanted one of those" so I ordered one. cheap yeah...
