I am running my gov. mode with my Castle Creations 110HV esc. Can I use the gov in the esc rather than the 3GX? When setting up the 3GX via laptop, I did go the T-Rex 700e and "write" all the info (T-Rex 700e, intermediate) into the system.

I have 3GX on my 700E night bird and run the Castle governor. There is no need to run the gov on the 3GX

Thanks for the info jsenicka and The Old Guy. I didn't know the gov was just for nitros.

I am using a Futaba S9253 for the tail. On the 3GX system, is says it is a 760. Upon further investigation, the Futaba servo is actually a 1520. Why would they document 760? What effect would that have on the ship, the servo?

If I am at a flying location and it is not flying right (ex. pitch, elevator, aileron, tail) and I change it, do I have to go through the whole set-up again or just the problem at hand?

I find setting the limits on the tail are a chore. When I had the GP780 set up before I went FBL, I set into limit mode, moved the tail slider to the left, then center. Move right, then center. Done. As far as the 3GX goes, it is basically the same set-up. However, when I set the limits on the tail, and it is completed, I move the sticks and it is not going to the limit I set it at.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

9256 AND 9251 are 760.
9253 and 9254 are 1520.
The 9253 is a bit under rated for the 700E? I run Align DS650 on mine.

You need to reset to 1520

What do you mean? Is this not a good tail servo to be using?

it is all there was when the 401 came out 10+ years ago. It will hold, but it is about 27oz versus the 50+ in today's servos.

It would not be my pick on something capable of as much torque changes as a 700E

Amin, to that brother! With large electrics, please, don't go cheap on servos. Besides the motor, that's the heart of your heli.

I didn't think I was going cheap with the Futaba servo. I guess you never know until your directed into the right direction. DS650 comes with the 700e kit anyway. I have DS610 for my cyclics which also come with the kit. I will sell the Futaba and buy a DS650. This is why I love this forum. Pilots helping pilots. Thanks guys.

In any case, both 9253 and DS650 are 1520 servos. I set up my systems for correct center width before I ever plug in the servo, as you can smoke them if wrong. So with servo unplugged I would get your 3GX to 1520 mode
