800 Size???? Wow! I'm beginning to wonder if they will re-new the look of the frame, servo layouts, landing gear, and canopy? I don't think they will replace the SSZ-IV and SSZ-V head assembly since they're still fairly new. I can't wait for next year then.

Most likely owners of freya evo, freya ex and eagle3will not b able to swop parts with the new eagle coz heard that due to the changes and size parts list will totally different...yea..i was thinking about the development of a new rotorhead...probably not but they insist to keep certain things under wraps...as we speak, they are beta testing with gear variants, belts and instead of usual 10mm main shaft they will b using a 12mm...u can imagine the sheer size of the new beast i suppose!

Whoa! With that said it will definitely be a new look and layout that is totally different from Freya/Eagle variants.

With the head swinging 800mm blades, a beefy main shaft will be a necessity. I'm beginning to suspect that they might introduce a new head assembly or blade holders that can handle the longer blades.

The 800 market isn't very big. In fact I would say that as a business proposition it is unlikely to be a major consideration for 99% of pilots. Have you looked at the cost of 800 size blades or 160A+ speed controllers?

Look at Mikado. The Extreme still is not out and I wonder if the viability of this size of model is holding it up. You have to keep on mind that a cheap Chinese manufacturer has swamped the market. Given the choice, the 99% choose cheap over quality and reputation. I hope the tide turns and quality and uniqueness become more dominant.

Whereas the market is crying out for 600 and 700 size flybarless electrics, it makes you wonder what market Mikado are chasing with 800 size machines. In my opinion the 800 market doesn't exist.

Hirobo would be smart to bring out reasonably priced flybarless heads and a couple of electric helis in the 600 and 700 categories, before the market is in other hands.

You got a point there Agile if you're thinking of an electric version of that size. Unless Hirobo is thinking of reviving their gasser version in 800 size, then that's a different story. Maybe Hirobo will focus on the AP group....who knows? Were all in the dark.

I'm sure someone is in the know; however, Hirobo are really secretive about their development work. With few exceptions, they don't work with anyone outside of Japan.

I know that when the Freya was being designed, the reps all contributed a lot of input to Hirobo via MRC. Eventually, Japan said, "enough" and continued without taking an input. I'm not even sure that the German pilots were able to contribute much of anything to Hirobo because Hirobo has a seasoned engineering team to tackle such things. They have literally decades of world championship experience. Unfortunately, the US style of flying is more 3D centric and there is much more emphasis on light weight than on the FAI type of model.

The Turbulence is quite light weight, but there isn't an over emphasis on weight management (G10 frames, lots of long screws etc). It could be made much lighter with some relatively simple changes.

I have it on good authority that there will be no Eagle4 released this year. I was hopeful as the worlds are coming next year and I would have thought Hirobo would have made the most of the market leading up to that.

When released it will be a 700 machine unless Hirobo are aware of information that will lead to changes in the FAI rules as there is a limitation on rotor disc area and battery voltage for F3C. They may go down the multi-blade path as a couple other manufacturers have been trialling lately.
