Not only does it fit well.. It preforms outstanding. Its a very strong motor and comes down super cool! I would fly this over the Scorpion 4525-520 all day.

I'm running it with the Jive 120HV, Jive comes down very reasonable.

Jive 120+HV

Mode 4 is all that is required. Like Rob says it is a match made in heaven for the TDR.

Let me save you the grief and tell you what everyone on this forum will about a Castle. Do whatever you want with it, but don't get it near a TDR.

Honestly, I do not know of a single TDR owner that uses a Castle. It is like putting some buckshot mudders on a Corvette ZR1.

Jive 120HV or HeliJive 120 or some use HobbyWing with Vbar Governor and a WesternRobotics Super BEC. Any of those are reliable.

Over 80% use a Jive 120HV. It is what is on mine.

I wouldn't let a Castle Cremation ESC sit within 5 feet of my TDR.

Thanks for your input.
PS: Futura SE... Nice website you have and by the way... I ordered from Oat ( Insane Canopies) a week ago the same design of Canopy you have on your TDR..

RCSav, how's the Hacker going on your TDR? Is that the 470Kv one? I've got a 400kv left from a Logo SE. Worked great there.

It's been running really nice so far. I ordered the 13 & 14T when the bird came and currently have it using the 14T. It's got nice grunt that's for sure.

I had the Xera 4035-3Y 400kv in my Logo 600SE but gave it to the wife for her 600. I mounted this up and I'm impressed. I think I'm going to try the new Xera monster for it after the new year. I kind of shot my wad on Xmas and my new tactical Savage .308 rifle. Hard balancing hobbies sometimes.

the big 10,000+ watt motors don't work well with the jive 120hv.

they spike the jive into thermal shutdown. had this issue with the kde. went to a 160amp.

This may be true with other machines but with the TDR, the Jive 120HV is enough for the Scorpion 4525-520LE and Xera 4530-500LE.

Not going by the numbers but from personal experience with both motors. The only thing you cannot do is run them with a low throttle percent (low head speed) for very long because this causes a large amount of heat.

I'm using the "super" CPU heatsinks from Newegg.com

The Jive doesn't like KDE motors. It works well with Scorpion LE's. The Xera 4530LE is the best match yet for the Jive. I'm not arguing power, but my Xera LE is COLD after a hard flight. COLD.

Maybe 55F in a 50F ambient temp. Not hearsay, but flight after flight on my machine.

I believe it to be the multi stranded nature of the Xera and the Xera LE is a delta wind and Jives love those.

A Scorpion LE produces big amp spikes that will shut a jive down on my machine likes a 700E because guys run the head speed so high to begin with.

The Xera LE does not produce big spikes. Wound different. I keep telling people the Xera is the best kept secret out there. Scorpion makes great motors and they make big power, but they DO produce big amp spikes. Period. Xera LE does not.

Now... the new Scorpion ESC's coupled with vbar gov prevent the spikes anyway so... Choose your color of motor. With it brand doesn't matter.

I could not agree more, the Xera is worth it's weight in Gold!

I think we will see it becoming much more popular down the road
