My Align Trex 450 pro has problem with with throttle power just lately. The throttle power at the heli stopped completely after pushing the transmitter throttle up. It happens frequently whenever I turn on and off to start the heli. Is this an electronic speed control problem?. It is quite old that was transferred from trex 450 se model to trex 450 pro. Please review and I appreciate any comments. Thanks.

I had an ESC that did the same thing on a 400, replaced the ESC and everything was back to normal.

Yes sounds like it could be a ESC problem, try a new one to see.

could be an ESC problem, but before replacing it, try re-calibrating it to your TX throttle-range. It could be that it has forgotten the range of values your tx puts out, and so is not responding properly to the stick position.

^That is GREAT advice. I was gonna go with bad esc too, but I would give that a shot first.

How do you re-calibrate ESC's?

never in the history of human entertainment has so much been owed by so many to so few

your ESC manual should have the procedure to calibrate it. It will probably say something along the lines of "teaching" or "learning" the throttle-range. If you post your ESC make/model, i'm sure one of us will be able to find the relevant info.

What brand ESC? Was it working fine before you switched it out to the new helicopter?

What is the difference in motors and batteries that you are using. ESC's don't just go bad because you move them from one heli to the next.

Perhaps check the wiring in your new heli, solder joints especially.

If you're using your old batteries and have moved up to a higher power motor with more demand for current, your old batteries may not be up to the task.

What radio are you running with all of this?

Thank you for all your responses. I used the Align Esc for the Trex450 se and currently using Spektrum Dx7. Yes, it was working properly before that happened. Well, I will try all your suggestions and see what works best.
