skytrekin rrApprentice Anchorage, AK | I have found when I upgraded to 1.2 I also had a drift that I could not seem to get rid of from 1.1After going through all the setup and looking at everything, I needed to trim the heli in normal mode adjusting the links to the swash.I also found using a swash leveling tool my swash was not level, and using a RC logger digital pitch gauge I could get all the ranges just about perfect. Those were my experiences. It now hovers perfect with no drift.

Dr.Ben rrMaster Richmond, VA, USA | To start, here's what I would do.1. Back to V1.1. Neutralized all cyclic trim in the radio and memorize that trim into the 750.2. As already noted, make sure your entire swash set up is true and level.3. Update back to 1.2 and use the suggested settings for the Expert menus.4. Hover the model in calm conditions, in rate mode, and with the gains turned down to 40% or less.5. Trim the model in rate mode. When satisfied, memorize the trim into the 750. Note that if you have anything more than a tiny bit of elevator trim that you adjust your CG. Piro comp by any mfg' does NOT like mis-set CG.5. Once trimmed, return the model to AVCS and crank the gains back up.Let me know how that does.Ben MinorTeam Futaba Team Kontronik USA

Dr.Ben rrMaster Richmond, VA, USA | I'm not sure of that; it may only affect the parameter values. To be sure trim gets neutralized, do it as I described.Ben MinorTeam Futaba Team Kontronik USA

BlackWatch rrNovice China | The first school of thought is just do the trimm flight as in bobby watts' video and how futaba suggested. The second way is here,http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=327174, here Mr Joe suggested the method of subtrims.I personally set up using the subtrim methods. First I setup my swash absoulte 0 at mid stick with a digital gauge on the bench and then I did the flight in rate mode. I've found I need to adjust the alerion servo subtrim around 20 points to conteract the weight of the muffler. Then I land and put 10 points back at the alerion and 10points on the pitch servo, so I get the same amount of tilt but the geometry won't get messed up by moving 1 servo alone( Is this correct?)Is my method sound? Do I need to redo my expert swash calibration to remove binding?Second question is to do with elevator trimming. With a Nitro the COG change during the flight, so What's the standard for a good comprimise? I can hover in rate with tank full but not when it's half empty. Is cranking up the I gain on elevator any help with the COG change issue?

eric cartman rrNovice South Park, CO | I've found if the sensor is not perfectly square it will occasionally cause a small 'drift' and possibly more dramatic 'walking' in elevator tic-toc's. It doesn't seem to occur on all units and some are more susceptible than others. I chatted with Helms about it a few times when he's been out and remounting the sensor seemed to fix my issues.

Dr.Ben rrMaster Richmond, VA, USA | The use of subtrim (or as little of it as possible) for static swashplate set up is not the same as the trim flight procedure. Once the the swash is as mechanically true as possible, the model may still require a touch a right roll trim (CW head rotation). Perfect CG on an electric model will result in the need for virtually none or zero pitch axis trim. Glow models should be trimmed with about a half tank of fuel to take the best average of CG, assuming the CG is neutral with a half tank fo fuel.Ben MinorTeam Futaba Team Kontronik USA

Extremely disappointed in this system. Has got to be the worst flybarless on the market. I tried everything. It just let's loose on extreme manuvers.

Indeed, the CGY750 is an awesome product. But with an awful documentation. I can't understand why Futaba doesn't provide the kind of information you did in this post as part of the release notes of the software update and/or the product manual.

stesax rrNovice italy | hey guys, hey dr. bentoday, i'm trimming my model again, and now is ok!.The hely hover perfect, whit only a small drift on the elevetor, cause no perfect CG. Next, I increase the value I-GAIN ELE to 55% and I-GAIN ALE to 60%. D-GAIN for ale and ele at 40%, and avcs dmp over 110%, but i think is possible increase these values again .

sluggo rrElite Veteran Kitchener Ont | Well I must say the 1.2 update is working awesome for me. After 2 8 min flights I only put 685mah back in my pack. Before the 1.2 I was using 550 to 650mah per flight. Both flights where done in idle up2 at 1980rpm on the head. Not sure on servo temp because it was -5c and I was not taking the canopy off cause I had my hands in my pockets warming them up![]() Teambob00

![]() rrApprentice Provo Utah | Hey do you plug power in the cgy750 or Futaba R6203SB for power. It would make sense that you would plug it in the throttle on the CGY750 so the servo can draw more amps and run your throttle in the r6203sb Will that work?

sluggo rrElite Veteran Kitchener Ont | I use a perfect tri pro reg. It powers the cyclic servos direct and the 3 leads going to the 750 unit get 5.4volts which powers the tail and throttle at 5.4. The sbus lead going to the rx sends signal annd power to the rx.Nice thing with this reg is you can adjust the volts to the servos from 4.8 to 6.5. Also has built in glow.![]() Teambob00
