I am really amazed and surprised - but perhaps I shouldn't be: So many of us here have served.

Another surprise: Although there are a few well known younger pilots, it seems there are a whole bunch of us that could be termed, "middle aged." (I really hate that expression). As I know some of you who fly, I can also say that there are some really excellent pilots and others with great model building skills too.

Was it the military that gave us this, or were we born to it? Nature versus nurture I guess.
