What other fuels has anyone run with good results? I was told today by a "ole" timer to run Ys special blend 20/20. CP is really the only fuel I can get close, I have never had a ys before and I dont want to mess it up before I even get started. Any info or opinions would sure help...

I ran Cool Power 20% Red with no problem.
I got ahold of Byrons Master Blend 15%, and it seems a little more power.
Watch the 30%.
Also it does not like air.
A friend was running 30%, and he ran out of fuel, that was the end of that piston.

I can get the masters blend 15% but it will require some travel. I would rather run CP 15 cuz thats what LHS sells here. Would CP 15% have sufficient oil? Its less than the masters blend...I think its like 21% oil. Wont even run the 30% at all...

I have no experience with 15% Cool Power.
I have never done it, but old timers said they use to mix their own fuel.
Maybe you can look at what oil to add, and how much.
I know that Cool Power is working on a new blend for this motor, but it is not available yet, still in testing.

I think i will just get some masters blend 15%. From what i have read thats what most people seem to be using with good results. Guess I will just have to drive a couple hours and get some.

The challenge of the CP15 in this motor will be not only the oil percentage but also the oil viscosity. The closest thing they have right now in the way of viscosity would be their multiviscosity 15%.

I just recently started using the CP 15% multi-vis in my .91 and so far so good. Course, I won't really know how good the lubrication is until I get towards the end of the life of the motor - I figure it'll die from crash damage long before then so it probably won't matter.

But, at least in my 91HZ-R, the multi-vis runs very well. I've always gotten very clean running out of Morgan fuels which is why I still use it. The MV is right at 18% lube, so don't know if that's enough for the 120 or not?

Breaking is recomanded 18 but after breakin any thing from 15 to 23 oil is fine. What is multVis ? And how are you getting 18 oil for CP 15? It says 17 on it.

I've been ordering mine from tower:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXKRV4&P=0

Unfortunately, Morgan's website doesn't have anything but the main page, so tower is where I keep track of what they're doing with their fuels lol.

But this is slightly different from the regular 15%, which only has 17% oil (claimed to be a high viscosity oil tho). That's what I ran through my engine for the first 10 gallons, though I spiked each gallon with 4oz of Klotz racing castor to get it up to about 20% oil overall.

But I probably didn't really need to do that. And the multi-vis has 18% so it meets the warranty requirements, etc...

Like I said, it runs really smooth with a good smoke trail...

How would the Byron Originals 20/20 Premium YS Fuel Do? It's made for ys engines only. Anybody have a idea? Mine will be here today and I got to figure out the best way to go.

For what it's worth, I could not tell the differance between 15% Masters Blend and 22.5% Masters Blend. However, I'm no expert at tuning this thing and I still haven't got it running correctly.
