The direct link has the benefit of eliminating the slop in the system. It does allow more stress to be transferred to the servo in a crash but it still is the luck of the draw. A few at our field have never lost a servo where as some strip gears here and there on a crash. There you go for a definitive answer.

Part availability is very good through RC Heliworks one of the board advertisers. I recommend calling them and asking for either Robert or Chris if you need anything. They usually have what you need in stock, if not, they are the go to guys to locate it for you. I have never had an order take more than a couple of days to get to my house.

If you plan on using plastic geared servos for this setup then yes i would have a couple sets of rebuilds on hand. I would honastly look into some descent MG servos i dont know what you currently have but direct to swash is preety hard on servos more then push-pull. I run the ds610 very good servo descent priced and there metal geared. As said above about parts availuabilty is very true im not aloud to comment on that stuff Would you mind posting your setup for us?

Jose, welcome to ElyQ. Great flying heli and good price too. Parts are easy to find. RCHeliworkz and other online shops carry parts.

Use metal gear servos with direct to swash linkage. The plastic servo wheel/arm will become the weak link in the event of a crash. Therefore, make sure you carefully check and replace all damaged or suspect wheels/arms after a crash (splines usually strip). And don't use metal servo wheels!
