I put a align 600mx 1220 motor and a 14 gear pinion and a 600esp main gear and one way and the old nitro tail assembly is the same and it fits perfect even the gear mesh is perfect so if someone wants a 6s setup to just sport fly and miled 3d this is the setup. use a 100 amp esc. or use 2 6s 3300 together for longer flights. as a 6s setup. take the tray out and a 5000 will fit perfect with 2 align straps to the upper tray. You can use the metal nitro tail servo rod if you turn the servo around on the frame so you dont need to buy the carbon rod as a replacement. I didnt like the way the servo wire came out the back anyways so if you turn it around the wire that comes out is towards the inside or front. My 6s conversion is looking better all the time.

I was wondering about making it 10s. Batteries are lighter and geared right it should make killer power like a Furion 6.

Not sure why you want 6s, this was a major disadvantage of the original 600e. The 12 cell will give longer flight times and it is very consistent for the entire flight. If you want 6s, just buy an old version 600 for cheap.

^^^ I disagree.A 6S setup can make as much power as a 12S setup with the same flight time and be just as consistent from start to finish..People thought I lied when I told them my 600E was a 6S heli until I pulled the canopy off..

Of course it can, run a really big pack with a speed controller that can handle double the amps and go for it.

When 6s was the norm, it made sense. Now with HV ESC's, the tide has turned. Higher volts, lower amps, batteries have an easier life.

I ran a 5000mAh 6S pack with a CC ICE 100 esc..Didn't need a big pack and esc that handle's double the amp's like your claiming. Also wasn't hard on my pack's,over 50 cycles and still going strong like they did when new.

Based on your graph, you're still pulling 200 amp peaks with running around 100 amps for plenty of time during the flight. That's harder on battery packs than 12s. On full collective pitch pumps and tic-tocs, my castle only peaks at around 100 or amps with my 12s 600EFL.

Blades Striker,

I am also using the CC ICE 100 AMP, stock ALIGN ESP motor and 6S, 5000 mah, 35C lipo but not near the head speed you have. I hope you don't mind sharing and let us know what motor and gear size you are using. I'd appreciate, thanks.

No problem.

The motor was a Castle Vertigo 1717/Y1 1500KV with 14T pinion and i'll bet it's the best and baddest 6S motor made for a 50 size heli. It's made by NEU for CC but sad to say they don't make them anymore which suck's big time because I have another 600E and want that motor BAD BAD BAD .Castle stopped making them because people were scared and didn't buy them due to the high KV.Even when I asked about the motor everyone said it's too high of KV and a stock Align motor will make more power .It was a $300.00 dollar motor but Castle sole them out for $70.00 a pop so I chanced it and so glad I did, stupid power, ran cool and didn't kill my pack's like people said .If you can get your hand's on a used one,DO IT..You can run the same pinion around 2100RPM and get awesome flight time with way better than stock power....

Put a 600 Pro next to a TRex 550,,,then tell me 'why in the world would someone take a 600 Pro and convert it to 6S?'. That's just rediculous!! There is just not enough differents in size to justify converting a 600 Pro,,,just get a 550!!!

The Pro on 12S will outfly and outlast a 6S 600 in every way imaginable. WAY WAY cheaper in the long run also. On 12S the ESC/batts/motor will last twice as long.

Put whatever motor you want into a 6s 600 and my stock 12s Pro will kick it's ass,,LOL,,,no problem.

I can't believe people are going backwards.

I don't mean to dismiss you kenstick,,,I just fail to see the reasoning. And BS is just delusional,,again,,,pulling 200 amps on that setup will burn stuff up a lot quicker than a 12S pulling 85 amps would. And a 6s 600 can't compare to a 12S 600,,,that's just common sense!

YES!

I thought this was common knowledge by now.
A 6s setup punishes the battery twice as hard as a 12S, is plain math. In fact the entire power system runs more efficient because of the lower current demands.

Why would someone want to go backwards?
I guess 1 battery vs 2.

MRFLYBAR,
Neither one has owned the setup I had so it's only guessing from them.Same happend when I asked about this setup.Had guy's like them talking about how crappy it would be and clearly wrong with them 2 are..The motor and pack's came down a tiny bit warm..People claim 6S setup's loose power around 30 flight's because the pack's die fast.My pack's had around 50 flight's and didn't have any power loss..

I had a few 6S Trex 600E and yes, pack's lost power fast but not with this setup.Take what people say with a grain of salt...
