Hi, will dealers get supply of spare parts upon delivery of kits , also when can we expect to see a list of spares and cost?

Common sense may not be common after all

Hi,

all the spare parts will be on our new website end of this week. Dealers will get spare parts same time or right after first delivery. We will keep spare parts enough at any dealers.

goblin 770
will the goblin kit be offered in the 770, or will we have to buy the stretch parts seperately?

Around March 2012 we will release Goblin 770 helicopter kits. Stretch kits are also available at the same time.

What is the primary drive belt life? How many teeth on the motor pinion does the belt engage?

I was referring to the actual belt teeth engaging the pulley on the pinion side. For belt drive, you can easily increase the tooth loading to almost the tensile strength of the belt itself. You do this by increasing the contact length by adding idlers on both side of the pulley.

With largest motor pulley, you might get close to 40% converage, while the smallest pulley might only get 30%. 1/3 of the 15 would be only 5 teeth. That may not be enough to transmit 5hp+ for any duration.

That is the reason why I asked primary belt life expectancy.

Belt life = < 50, 50-100, >100 ?

What is the primary belt change procedure? It looks like the belt can't be undone without removing the tail belt directly below.

1. loosen the motor
2. undo the primary pulley
3. loosen the tail belt
4. undo the tail belt (to remove the primary belt)
5. remove the primary belt
6. replace and tension the primary
7. finish by re installing the tail belt and tension.

Hi,

for the life of the belt, is best used pulley with a high number of teeth.
The motor belt used with 16T pulley will last less than 30% of the motor belt used with 20T. Decide on your setup even considering this.

The life of the belt depends on the type of flight.

average is over 100 flights, but if it flies like Tareq is better to make maintenance more often ..........
