I'm considering going down the delrin route for a quieter drive train on my SDX.

From what I can see I'm looking at the following :

0412-169
0412-171
0412-259

However, some places seem to have a kit 0412-168 for less than the combined price of the 3 above, only difference appears to be the second gear is 79 tooth instead of 80?

Am I missing something here or is this a better purchase?

You can also upgrade the little tail drive gear to make the gear ratio as close as possible to the current black plastic, but yeah 0412-168 is a much better buy.

Get the 412-168 and the EX counter gear 414-169 (17T). There is no 16T delrin counter gear, but if you want the driveline totally quiet, you need the counter gear too.

Thanks for the replies.

412-168 it is then.

Dr Ben, I was planning to get the 17T counter gear to complete the set. I'd noticed the lack of a 16T option, but I can't imagine that the small different in ratio on the tail drive is going to make any noticeable difference.
