flew it today, works great but the links are tight on the turn buckles so when you turn them they come off the balls then you adjust them, it made a light heli lighter, i recommend the head for anyone,

X50 FBL vs Titan main shaft
I ordered a conversion kit for my Raptor only to discover there are two versions. I just happened to order the X50 version (3925). Now I need to get the proper main shaft (PV0651-1). Is there a difference between the Titan shaft (PV0651) and the FBL main shaft? I'm thinking there might be a difference in the length. Will the Titan shaft work? Can't seem to find the -1 shaft anywhere. Thanks in advance.

The length is the same. But, two holes(3mm.) for the main hub and the bottom holes are 3.5mm for a 3.5mm shaft w/M3 threads. It's like the Titan SE. I don't know if the R30-50 shaft has the 3mm. bottom hole in it.

The part # for the TT titan x50 is PV1334. The part # for the Raptor titan SE is PV 0651. If you look on Tower Hobbies website. There are pictures of each main shaft. Whether they are capable with other I do not know. I would guess they are not. The one for the X50 is CCPM. I believe the SE old Raptor is mechanical mix. Maybe someone who has both machines can chime in.

I shot an email to Tower Hobbies to see if they have the conversion main shaft in stock. We'll see what happens. I'm pretty sure somebody will have one. If that doesn't work I'll see if I can exchange the kit I have for the correct kit. Cheers!

Where the problem is, if you use the R50TitanSE or X50 shaft. You will need to drill out the Auto pulley and one way shaft to 3.5mm.

I got mine today. It is a sweet looking head. I notice the blade grips are already installed. Wonder if they greased the bearings before they put it together and used loctite on the grip bolts? I will be tearing down to see. Anyone already know, the suspense is killing me. Now what flybarless controller to use. I am leaning toward the Futaba GY750. I already order the Futaba sbus 6203 receiver from Tower. A friend of mine recommended it. Says it was a good fix for a nitro bird. I already have the gy701 gov. Which I will be removing and selling. I won't need it since the GY750 has the gov built in. I can just use the sensor I already have mounted. Seems like the must logical way to go. I am already familiar with Futaba. Since almost every thing I own is control by futaba anyways. I guess I made of my mind. Thanks for listening.

Got mine in,conversion was a snap, loved the way TT also provided new metal arms as well. Now I am just waiting for the TT GT5 FBL unit to match everything else.Anyone planning on using the GT5 with this set-up as well?

it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission
