Do we need to have offical "clown sheilds" now? The Foo shield was the best. Personally never had a problem with clown but understand he rubs some peeps the wrong way, but he does love the hobby fellas!

He makes me realize how jacked up the system is. He is on welfare and not working, yet he is buying all these heli's. Are they really worth a damn? Not likely, probably nothing but a bunch of clones with cheap parts. It is obvious that his flying skills are lacking, which is why he hides in his alley and shows videos of himself barely hovering. California as a whole has become a sorry state. It allows people with bad intentions to bankrupt the state and then does nothing about it. Other states have the same problems with freeloaders and illegals. At least some states like Alabama, Arizona and Florida are at least making an attempt to make it better. I like the idea of Florida doing the drug testing on welfare recipients. It is a step in the right direction as well. As far as the ignore function goes, I think it is a cop out.

Would love to see just one nice clean forward flight circuit,no tricks are attempt's at 3D, just forward flight. With any of his heli's. He's on main dis. right now with a fleet of 15. He claims to be a mentor and heli tech. Just one flight with him as the pilot.

By small fee you mean $50 an hour.
For just $50 an hour, he will build your helicopter, add expo in the tx, and spool it up in the parking lot.

I should warn you, $50 an hour DOES NOT include blade tracking. Blade tracking costs an extra one-time fee of $25, which may seem like a ripoff, but in actuality it is not. The one time fee also includes mentoring, so it's a bargain if you ask me.

I'm not making any of this up. He posted his rates in an ad on Craigslist this summer.

And as far as I can find, there is no long beach heli club, not listed by the AMA. I don,t believe he ever had his nitro ships in the air. Just this summer he had a real mentor come to his house to help him set-up his 450!! soon after that he declaired himself a mentor and heli tech. He sets blade tracking by clamping the heli to a work bench

A month into this hobby and learning things by others I thought he was helpful too.

Now 4 1/2 months into it I know 99% of his info is the wrong thing to do. The only good info I found from him was rolling a main shaft on a piece of glass to see it it is bent.

After a crash even during my first weeks I learned to hover, land and adjust blade tracking. Strapping a heli down for this just shows inept with the basic skills to set up a heli correctly so that it can be hovered and tracking checked. Heli setup is crutial to a great flying heli. And if you don't trust your setup enough to hover it well then you never learned setup correctly.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.
