Guys I'm relatively new to electrics having flown only nitros before. At present I'm flying a trex 550 FBL using turnigy nanotech 6s 5000mAh 45c packs. Also I've got an Icharger 306B with a Meanwell power supply and parallel board. I really like the ease and charging speed of this setup Unfortunately I don't know when to discharge a pack I'd appreciate if u guys could pls explain the procedure to me as I don't want to ruin my lipos. Thanks!

Some decent reading in here

http://www.fmadirect.com/lipo_handb...ok_Section3.htm

Personally I fly them THEN use chargers "STORAGE" set up to bring each cell to 3.8V for "long" storage purpose. (greater than 3 days for me)

~~Enjoying the hobby one flight at a time~~

Same as Pistol_Pete (more or less). When done for the day, all packs go on storage mode. I prefer not to leave a pack charged over night, so if I have any unused packs those get discharged to storage as well.

One nice thing is that all packs are put into the same charge state, so it is perfect for parallel charging the next time.

You will have to decide what is best for you and your batteries. Some vendors say not to leave their packs charged more than 4 hours. Others report that their packs are always stored fully charged. Somewhere in between lies your answer
